Red River Gorge Zipline
The Red River Gorge Zipline, located in Campton, Kentucky, is just 50 minutes from Lexington. The tour typically takes 2-3 hours and zips you across five separate ziplines, more than 300 feet above the Gorge, and at speeds up to 55 MPH. Included in the tour are four canopy bridges. There is a dual zip available if you’re up for racing your friends!
Kentucky Action Park
The Twin Zipline is located at Kentucky Action Park and is billed as the longest zipline in Kentucky. Kentucky Action Park is located in Cave City, Kentucky. You’ll start your adventure by riding the Chairlift up the mountain. Then you’ll zip across two lines and traverse a swinging bridge. The last zipline will race you down over a half mile, 300 feet high in the air. Reservations are required.
Mammoth Cave Adventures
Mammoth Cave Adventures is located in Cave City, Kentucky and features a host of adventures including ziplines, horseback riding, a super swing, a drop tower, and more. Night time zip tours are also available. There are two separate courses, and a total of 7 zip lines, spanning over 60 acres. The ziplines are between 600 and 950 feet long, flying you through lush canopies and open fields. Besides the ziplines there are also two sky bridges and a giant swing, and the Mammoth Cave Drop Tower, that allows you to step off the 70 foot Tower, if you’re brave enough.
Black Mountain Thunder Zipline
The Black Mountain Thunder Zipline features eleven ziplines, covering over two miles, and soaring 500 feet above the ground, reaching 60 miles per hour. You’ll experience gorgeous views of the Appalachian mountains on a tour that will take two hours. Reservations are required. Black Mountain Thunder Zipline is located in the city of Harlan, Kentucky.
Kentucky Shore Ziplines
Located in Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Kentucky Shore Ziplines features eight ziplines, two skybridges, and a maximum flying speed between 20-30 mph. Three lines in the course are over 500 feet long. Tours are available seven days per week and reservations are requested, although weekend walk-ins are accepted.
This is billed as the world’s first and only underground zipline and adventure tour. You’ll learn about the geology and history of the cavern, covering more than 17 miles underneath the city of Louisville. There are five underground zips, including a dual racing zip, and three challenge bridges. For the less adventurous there is a tram available, for a guided, non-walking tour, off the cavern.
